This unit introduces the eight Portable Skills that are needed on every project site and in every office. There’s likely to be at least one that suits you. Building your strengths in these areas will help futureproof your career.

During this course you’ll step into the shoes of a new recruit at NextGen Construction, a company delivering smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure. You’ll take on a range of responsibilities—budgeting, project planning, marketing, IT, customer support and more—so you can discover which roles play to your strengths.

Eight Portable Skills

There are eight Portable Skills needed in every industry.

The course has eight lessons of one hour each. Many lessons involve working on worksheets, three lessons include spreadsheets and one lesson includes a speech (a sales pitch). You will give and receive feedback from buddies.
